Chronical Diarrhoea was a hardcore/metal band formed in the late 80's. This band included Reiner Henseleit and Thorsten Benning. These two joined with Morten Gass and Robin Rodenberg and they formed another band called 7 Inch Boots. In 1992 this band changed its name and style to become Bohren and later to Bohren & der Club of Gore. There was also a band called Macabre Farmhouse that included some same members.

Hallo Bürste existed between 1992 and 1995 and it included Christoph Clöser in drums. Clöser joined Bohren & der Club of Gore in 1996 to play Saxophone.
